Preservation of Biodiversity
Proteas cultivated at Cape Pride Proteas are grown on fields free of weedkillers and artificial fertilizers. We maintain health and fertility using organic and biological methods of farming. We strive to farm in harmony with nature and to preserve and enhance the delicate balance of the environment. We are actively involved in the management of land and natural resources to achieve greater agricultural, environmental, social and ethical sustainability. The farm is a haven for birds and guinea fowl roam freely. Over one thousand indigenous trees have been planted.

Premium Quality
Our farm is inspected regularly each month by an independent protea consultant. We also employ the services of a soil scientist and the Agricultural Research Council at Elsenburg. We have also instituted ongoing natural selection procedures to ensure flowers of premium quality and long vase life.

We actively participate in Producer Associations for sharing and exchanging knowledge, ideas and information.
